How do I send a meal exchange invite?

Log in using your University credentials, search for a student, choose a meal to start the exchange, and then click the “Send Invitation” button.

How can I start/complete a meal exchange?

An email will be sent that contains a barcode. Scan the barcode at meal check-in to start or complete a meal exchange.

When do I have to complete an exchange?

Students will have until the end of the semester to complete an exchange. All exchanges will conclude on December 22, 2026. If you are part of an eating club, please refer to your club's guidelines for the start and stop of meal exchange.

Can lunches be swapped for dinners?

Yes, lunches can be exchanged for dinners and vice versa.

Can brunch be exchanged?

Brunch in the dining halls are equivalent to lunch.

When will meal exchanges start?

Meal exchanges at University dining halls will begin on September 28, 2026. Each eating club will establish its own policies regarding when exchanges begin, how many exchanges are permitted, and which days they are available. Please contact your eating club president for details specific to your club.

Who can exchange meals?

Meal exchanges are available to students on the Unlimited, Block 128, Block 10 and Eating Club plans. Please note that Block 32 meal swipes are not eligible for exchange.

If I am on the Block 128 or Block 10 plan, how many swipes will a single meal exchange take?

Currently, a meal exchange will deduct one swipe from the Block 128 and Block 10 plans. Starting in the 2027-2028 Academic Year, each meal exchange will deduct 2 swipes from the Block plans in order to account for two people (the host and their guest) eating at a dining hall. This system accounts for the two meals provided in each location.
